Favourite Walking Trails

Swiss Valley Reservoir – 20 minute drive – Walk distance 2 miles approx.

SwissValley.JPG

Park at the end of the reservoir - ‘Cronfa Ddŵr Cwm Lliedi’ is the name of the car park. Then follow the path trough the woods down one side of the reservoir and then back up the other side. Bring some good boots for this, as it could be muddy!

Pembrey Country Park – 20 minute drive -Walk distance unlimited

Pembrey.JPG

Award winning park and beach in Carmarthenshire, set inside 500 acres of Green Flag awarded woodlands, alongside a Blue Flag awarded eight miles of golden sands, one of Wales’s Top Visitor attractions providing a unique blend of coast and countryside. Pembrey also hosts a crazy golf course and dry ski slope.

Burry Port Harbour & Beach – 20 minute drive – Long & short beach walks

BurryPort.JPG

The harbourside makes for a pleasant wander (preferably with ice cream in hand), with stunning views across to the Gower Peninsula. Sandy stretches of beach on either side of the harbour permit dogs on them all year round, making them popular spots with locals and visitors.

We personally recommend the Crazie Crepes Café (the pink one) in the harbour car park. It has a great post walk menu.
